Now there's a Universal PGA Tray to fit all your PGAs--odd row, even row, small outline, large outline,
rectangular, even the new generation of interstitial or 'staggered' PGAs. All of our Universal PGA Trays
are in stock, so there are no long lead times to interfere with your schedules. Choosing the right PGA
tray has never been easier!
Range of trays fit many applications
Choose from our 10-pocket or 21-pocket models, both available in temperature tolerant 'burn-in' models or
economical shipping configurations. The 10-pocket trays accommodate 9x9 through 22x22 matrix PGAs. The 21-
pocket versions handle smaller packages with 9x9 through 15x15 matrices. We also make handy tray 'spacers',
which let you stack loaded trays safely and securely when your packages have heat sinks in place or have
other custom features.
Same-tray use keeps tolerances in spec
In the ultra-precise environment of today's automated 'pick and place' robotics, repeatable accuracy is key
to smooth, efficient operation. Our Universal PGA Trays enable you to keep your production-line tolerances
tightly focused. Because the same trays readily accommodate a variety of IC devices, time-consuming on-line
adjustments are virtually eliminated.
We use the right materials for the job
At R.H. Murphy Co., we know just how crucial selecting the right material is. High-temperature burn-in trays
are made from PES with carbon fiber. Our low-cost shipping trays are composed of ABS with glass fiber, and
are antistatic coated. Also available are low temperature trays made from ABS with carbon fiber for permanent
antistatic properties. All designs reflect our 'no compromises' approach to quality, ensuring consistent
performance and longevity.
Standard-compliant design
Where appropriate, our Universal PGA Trays incorporate JEDEC Standards
to ensure smooth operation in automated environments. In today's world of precision oriented automatic
manufacturing, tray products from R.H. Murphy Co. are part of the solution, not part of the problem.
